Rich Tjaden: Donald Trump on cusp of becoming 47th president of US

Smallminded people like Robert Reich and a bevy of likeminded group thinkers writing to The Laconia Daily Sun are becoming very apoplectic and discombobulated due to the recent decisions not going their way. Their petulant rhetoric and actions reminds me of a story I read while in primary school called "Chicken Little," where a chicken runs around willy nilly crying, "The sky is falling. The sky is falling." Now, a bunch of pundits who were equivocating for Joe Biden, for years, are clamoring for him to step down.

Biden made two deals in 2020. No. 1, accepting help from James Clyburn, the South Carolina congressman to guarantee the Black vote in 2020 if Joe Biden would put a Black female as his vice president. No. 2, agreeing to add the Bernie Sanders far left radical platform in his campaign in exchange for Sanders to drop out of the primary. Surprisingly, both examples of quid pro quo have backfired on President Biden. He has shown himself to be as phony as a $3 bill. For eight years, Donald Trump has been hit by poison shots from the Trump Derangement Syndrome zealots and is on the cusp of becoming the 47th president of the United States.
