To The Daily Sun,
In his latest letter thanking voters for their support in the recent primary, candidate John Morrissey restates his support for legalized marijuana, affordable housing, more funding for education, and other government-funded initiatives. However, he doesn't tell us (other than taxing marijuana), how he'd fund any additional spending. He also doesn't state whether he'd oppose any attempt to implement a sales or income tax, better known as "the pledge."
Perhaps he'd like to share his position with us? Our current representatives, Glenn Cordelli and Karel Crawford, would oppose any such efforts and both need to be returned to the Statehouse to continue supporting our conservative New Hampshire values. I urge you to vote for them in November. Don't be fooled by candidates offering "more help from the government." Nothing is free. Government has only what it takes from taxpayers. Refusal to take "the pledge" should disqualify anyone from statewide office.
