Peter Whelley: Thanks to Moultonborough voters for supporting ICCI

To The Daily Sun,

I would like to thank the voters of Moultonborough for their generous support of Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc. ICCI works to improve access to health care and community resources for adult residents of Moultonborough, Sandwich, Center Harbor and Meredith. Thanks to an extraordinary network of volunteers, we are able to provide free transportation to our neighbors who need it.

Founded in 1998, ICCI has served thousands of local residents. Just last year, our volunteers provided 3,104 services, drove 61,951 miles, and donated 5,235 hours of their time.

On a personal note, I joined ICCI as a volunteer driver three years ago. It has been an honor to meet so many remarkable people in our community as I take them to appointments in Lebanon, Dover, Manchester, Laconia, Meredith, Wolfeboro, and beyond. ICCI ensures that neighbors get where they need to go, and being part of that mission has been deeply rewarding. I am grateful for the opportunity to use my free time to help meet such an important local need.
