Nancy Wiggin: Coker carries himself well, is supported by both sides of the aisle

I’m supporting Matt Coker for state representative. I didn’t know who Coker was but I saw his signs displayed on the lawns of some of my friends. Some of those friends were conservative and some were liberal. I wondered, who was this candidate supported by Republicans and Democrats?

I subsequently met Coker at the primary where he held a sign for himself and spoke to voters all day long. I learned that day he was a dad and recently had a new baby. I wanted to learn more, so I attended a meet and greet and asked him many questions. I discovered he was easy to talk to and had a wonderful sense of humor. Coker was knowledgeable about the issues and had excellent communication skills. His common-sense approach gave insight into why he had such broad support. It was clear to me that he cared deeply for our community and its future. These are just a few of the reasons why I would ask citizens to please join me in voting for Matt Coker for state representative.
