To The Daily Sun,
President Donald Trump’s Easter luncheon address provided clarity to why New Hampshire’s property taxes will continue to rise.
He bragged that we are “blasting the hell” out of Iran. Then sticking to the militarize-America theme he said he instructed the White House Office of Management Budget, “don't send any money for day care … that has to be up to a state,” adding, “we're fighting wars, we can't take care of day care.”
All states, including New Hampshire, “will have to raise their taxes … it's not possible for us to take care of day care, Medicaid, Medicare; all these individual things … we have to take care of one thing, military protection, we have to guard the country.”
Then he praised Linda McMahon, secretary of education, because “she's moved education back to the states.”
That reduction in federal support for education, daycare and eventually, according to the president himself, Medicaid and Medicare will mean New Hampshirites have two choices: Raise taxes or watch the erosion of education for our children and health care for our seniors.
Why? To pay for a regime-changing war, which the president started without Congressional approval after promising voters he would keep us out of wars.
The best way to stop this war mongering president, improve our well-being and reduce property taxes is to elect Democrats. They will bring New Hampshire and the rest of the country back to normalcy. You know, a time when Americans prayed for peace on Easter rather than use it as a social media prop to promote war.
