To The Daily Sun,

I am surprised about Mr. Rebsamen's critical opinion of the U.S. Postal Service in the Feb. 24, issue. Surely the delay in his postal delivery can be explained by ongoing but temporary catch-up from the Christmas volume, and the COVID-19 situation. I think the U.S. Postal Service is one of the best bargains the government delivers. Consider that for just 55 cents you can drop a letter in the mail and normally 1-3 days later your friend in Calif., Texas, Fla., etc. will receive it in their mailbox. Recently my daughter in Mass. mailed a box from Littleton, Mass. in the late afternoon, and before noon the next day it was delivered onto a table inside my garage in Holderness. How is that for delivery? In 35 years of living in Holderness I have never had any problem with the mail delivery.
