I feel compelled to respond to the letter sent in on Feb. 12, regarding Israel and other religions. In their letter, the author stated that: “Remember, there are no Jews or Christians in Gaza, Lebanon and certainly not in Iran”.
That is incorrect. There are thousands of Christians living in Gaza and other portions of Palestine. In fact, there have been 33 Christians killed by Israeli forces since the start of the Hamas-Israeli conflict. Also, there are at least 177,000 Christians living freely in Iran and Lebanon's population is 30% Christian. There are an estimated 10 million Christians living in Arab countries. There are only 187,000 Christians living in Israel.
