John McCormack: Hard to ignore there is only one logical choice for president

Now that we are just days away from one of the most important elections in my lifetime, it's hard to ignore that there is only one logical choice for president.

On one side, Kamala Harris has been making a compelling case for why she should be president with a message of hope and unity. She has a clear plan for where she wants to take this country and aims to reach out to as many different groups of voters as possible.

Unfortunately, that is not the case on the Republican side. I honestly can't tell readers what message Donald Trump is trying to convey and at a time when both candidates are giving their best closing arguments, Trump stood before a crowd at a town hall meeting and abruptly ended it before it was over and refused to take any questions. However, he stood on stage for another 45 minutes while the music played and stared into the crowd. What message was he trying to give here? Other than the fact he has no sense of rhythm. Is this the guy readers want making decisions on their wife's or daughter's reproductive health? Is this the guy they want in charge during the next crisis?

As far as his campaign rally in New York City goes. The only thing missing from Trump's Madison Square Garden rally was the burning crosses and the white sheets covering their faces. It might just have well been a KKK rally because it certainly resembled one and the silence from the Republican leadership speaks volumes.

Americans know what's at stake. They will not forget what this man did on Jan. 6, 2021. Despite the Republican Party's best attempt to whitewash history. I am proud to say I voted for Kamala Harris.
