George Sutcliffe, Jr.: Sununu is one Republican who can get along & get things done

I have to congratulate our governor in this important time, when solid leadership is needed. In the Covid-19 updates he has shown that he has critical thinking skills; he solicits help from those who know more; he accepts their advice; he has an open conversation with the press; and he does not belittle the journalists and exhibits compassion for the people of our state. I often don’t agree with our governor’s day-to-day decisions regarding energy policies, etc. but I feel confident that he has the temperament and problem-solving skills to do the best job possible in our present situations.

Yeah governor! It is nice to see a Republican leader who can work with the press, doesn’t promote lying on a daily basis, and doesn’t use press conferences to build his ego. Our country is paying a huge price for having a president (small “p”) that is so lacking in critical thinking skills and lies at every opportunity so he can make his “base” and FOX News happy. We need more of our leaders — Democrats and Republicans — to have a spine and call the president out for what he isn’t! We need moral, compassionate, and honest leadership. Governor Sununu has shown these strengths.
