Doug Frederick: Thanking Charlie St. Clair for all he did for Motorcycle Week

To The Daily Sun,

Sad to hear that a man who represented, protected and preserved the oldest motorcycle rally in America has passed. I will never forget the first day I met him when he rode his Harley onto my property as I started to put my motorcycle museum together. A real, true and rare person who loved motorcycles, riders, residents; what I loved most was his caring of people born and raised in New Hampshire. I hope and pray that Laconia Motorcycle Week remains inspired and protected with memories of a man who loved everyone. Our only difference was the fact that he loved Harleys and I loved Indians, which was a big deal from 1903 to 1953. There is not one day that I don't think, praise and miss Laconia Motorcycle Week.

Thanks to Charlie St. Clair for all he did to "protect and serve."
