Regarding The Laconia Daily Sun page 14, Oct. 6, ironically the same edition as this front page headline: “Man who threatened mass shooting to remain in Belknap County jail.”
I can appreciate and agree with our local newspaper coverage being nonpartisan and therefore attempts to balance local political press coverage. However, Gary Varvel — like my old 78s and 45s — is stuck in a rut of daily attacks on President Joe Biden ... Biden ... Biden.
We are hearing reports of threatening attacks on political leaders this year, even “hang Mike Pence” chants at the Jan. 6 attack on our Capitol building and also our democracy.
What if a political leader is killed following Conservative Gary Varvel’s absurd cartoon featuring President Biden in bed saying “I see dead politicans?” Maybe edit Gary with "I see other conservative cartoonists”?
