To The Daily Sun,

The media endlessly repeats the accusations by Democrats and other anti-Trumpers, including Special Prosecutor Jack Smith, that President Donald Trump led an “insurrection” on Jan. 6. So, why was Trump charged with arcane laws and other laws using “novel” (unique and unintended) legal theories rather than with “insurrection?”

Because this “insurrection” smear, this big lie, gives Trump’s opponents everything they want. This endlessly repeated smear allows anti-Trumpers to kick Trump off the ballot, and poison the jury pools, for his other unjustified indictments, and voters who don’t investigate further.

Many of the anti-Trump smears come from Nancy Pelosi’s totally partisan, anti-Trump, (Pelosi rejected the Republican-assigned committee members) January 6 Committee “Investigation.” This committee didn’t really investigate how Jan. 6 happened, they didn’t ask dozens of important questions like “why Pelosi refused Trump’s Jan. 4 offer of 10,000 National Guard troops,” and “why did Pelosi delay 90 minutes before approving the Capitol Police Chief’s J6 plea for National Guard help?” This committee was created to create a huge smear to use against Republicans and Trump.

If they charged Trump with “insurrection,” they would have to provide evidence. The truth of Jan. 6 would be revealed. Trump could defend himself, present evidence which has been hidden, demand the exculpatory evidence that was hidden or destroyed by Pelosi’s J6 Committee, and present hundreds of facts that Democrats don’t want exposed to the American public. Even a highly partisan (92% Biden voters) DC jury might not convict; Democrats can’t take that chance.

Democrat policies are so harmful they can’t run on their record. Democrats' only chance is to smear Trump and take away from the American people the presidential candidate they want to democratically elect in 2024.

I meant "find evidence that the call has been made or not made". I wanted to stay neutral in that comment.

The first question is "Did Pelosi refused Trump’s Jan. 4 offer of 10,000 National Guard troops?" before asking why. But yes, those questions should be asked and there should be an investigation to try find evidence (or its absence, in case no call have been made in all phone account related to Trump and Pelosi). That's the kind of detail that help understand what happened and if one allegation or another seems to be the truth or not, I think.
