Debbie Auger: Franklin voters have a choice this year in school district board members

On Oct. 4, we will be asked to cast votes for school board and city council in Franklin. This is the first year in a long time that practically all of the school board races are contested.

I am concerned with the direction our school district has been going for years and yet nothing ever changes. We continue to elect the same people over and over again and expect something different to come out of it. That being said, the majority of races are rarely contested so we never had choice. This year we have choice.

Please join me in voting for Marie Danforth, Ward 1; Peter McLaughlin, Ward 2; Dave Testerman, Ward 2; and Roy Hubble, Ward 3. Let’s come together and elect some new folks who are willing to roll up their sleeves and do the hard work to affect positive change to the Franklin School District and not settle for status quo. Please take time out of your busy schedule to go to your ward polling station between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
