To The Daily Sun,
The results of the coming midterm election will have serious implications for Medicare and Social Security. These two programs are widely supported and utilized by more than 20% of the population, many of whom are on fixed incomes. John Sununu (R-NH) and Chris Pappas (D-NH), are New Hampshire’s two senatorial candidates. These men have very different approaches to these programs.
Mr. Sununu supports less government funding, privatization of medical plans and market competition. Mr. Pappas supports a reduction in drug prices and requiring contributions of the wealthy to establish a federal revenue pool. Chris Pappas will work to increase access to healthcare and to stabilize Social Security. Please vote for Chris Pappas on Nov. 3.
