To The Daily Sun, 

One of the big news stories today is that our country has reached $40 trillion in debt. As citizens, voters we should be proud of ourselves. We have elected government officials who disregard any financial responsibility. We have chosen representatives over the last 20, 30 or 40 years who have no respect for the future of our country.  

Recently I heard a quote from Tom Brokaw saying that after many decades covering politics in Washington the one word he never heard was "cut."
 
It's time to elect government representatives who value the future of this country ― time to cut spending. Not ones who promise to fix this or that (with more taxes).
 
We must enforce some kind of fiscal responsibility. Get rid of everyone in Congress and find some people who can change the direction of our finances.
 
If there is anyone. 
 
Probably won't happen ― I will bet on it. We are doomed.
