To The Daily Sun,

It’s time for a change. Center Harbor and New Hampton have a great opportunity for change with a new candidate for the New Hampshire House ― Amber Schaefer. Amber was raised, educated and works in New Hampshire and is raising her own family here. She understands the issues people of all ages in this district are facing and wants to ensure NH’s future as a strong state.

As a healthcare professional, she sees the challenge to access high quality, affordable healthcare. As a mom with two children in public school, she is dedicated to our state’s future and the importance of public education. She knows the importance of affordable housing ― including property taxes to all ages.

Amber knows that the major industry in New Hampshire is tourism and is passionate about the need to protect our natural resources for the health of our natural environment, as well as our own health.

Why do we need a change? Amber’s opponent ― Tom Ploszaj ― has been in office since 2020. His voting record is not aligned with issues important to most of us. He has voted against an expanded Medicaid program in New Hampshire, for the majority of school funding to come from property tax ― yet against adding tax on non-primary residences ― for removing the authority of the Department of Health and Human Services to require vaccinations, opposed labels on genetically modified foods and against elected officials having term limits. Records also show that despite his votes, his public testimony is often not aligned with his votes.

It is time for our towns to have a representative who understands constituents’ needs, is dedicated to voting for our healthy future and is clear and consistent about what she stands for. Vote for Amber Schaefer for Center Harbor.
