Bruce Jenket: Don't ever underestimate the power of disinformation

Do readers understand the power of disinformation? A perfect example was when 51 former Barack Obama intelligence officials signed a letter claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop "has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation" to sway the 2020 election. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. dropped the “disclaimer” and reported it as fact. President Joe Biden lied at the only presidential debate when he referenced the intelligence official’s letter.

The laptop was Hunter’s and it was in the possession of the FBI for 10 months before the 2020 election. So, why were none of the intelligence officials or media outlets ever held accountable for election interference? Because the FBI was in on the disinformation, telling Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. to block the truth. I personally followed this story for years because truth, honor and integrity are the pillars of freedom and liberty. Democrats and their media allies above used disinformation to weaken both.

They are doing it again today. The above media spread disinformation that our southern border was secure when 10 to 20 million illegal immigrants crossed it. They spread disinformation when they said sanctuary cites do not have to cooperate with ICE. They do because federal law supersedes state law. They spread disinformation when they claimed ICE murdered two innocent Americans in Minneapolis. Both were illegally interfering with legal ICE operations.

The culmination of the above disinformation was the basis for Democrats shutting down the federal government. What is their goal? Obviously, it's to retain as many foreign immigrants as possible to sway the upcoming midterm and 2028 elections. Will it work? It may if Americans don’t wake up. Twenty-five years ago, Islamic extremist took down the world trade center in NYC. Today an antisemitic Muslim that supported Hamas is mayor. Don’t underestimate the power of disinformation.
