Bill Hemmel: Biden has restored international respect for the United States

Enough with the Biden-bashing already.

Some of The Sun's frequent letter writers would try to convince you the American sky is falling, often touting outright conspiracy falsehoods, but the truth is quite the opposite. Joe Biden is a great president. In the short time he has occupied the Oval Office, he has restored international respect for the United States; strengthened NATO; ended the Bush war in Afghanistan; strengthened our military and increased the pay of service members; actually passed an infrastructure bill; created an all-time record number of jobs; reduced unemployment to 3.6% (2.7% here in New Hampshire; gained control of the COVID-19 pandemic; reduced the deficit by $1 trillion; re-started talks with Iran to control their nuclear production; rejoined the Paris Climate Accords (with 195 other countries); sent billions of weapons to the Ukraine military to oppose Russia; faced down Vladimir Putin and publicly named him a war criminal; and finally, opened up our strategic petroleum reserves to help control gas price hikes caused by the Ukraine war.

Thank you, President Joe Biden. Our country is looking forward to seven more years of your exemplary leadership.
