Bernadette Loesch: No comparison: Hillary was totally qualified to be president

Doug Lambert recently wrote a letter to the editor. He stated in no uncertain terms that he is so very relieved that Mr. Trump is president. He also wrote that if Mrs. Clinton were president during this pandemic the United States would be in utter chaos.

I am taking this opportunity to remind Mr. Lambert, and others, that Mrs. Clinton would certainly be more than well qualified to be president of these United States. I’d go as far as to say that Mrs. Clinton would have been more than able to handle all dire situations she might have faced while in the office as president of these United States.

I am listing a small fraction of her qualifications and her accomplishments which were achieved during her illustrious career in government and politics:

— Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is a licensed attorney.

— Mrs. Clinton received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College.

— She graduated from Yale Law School, where she earned her JD degree in 1973.

— She was First Lady of Arkansas, from 1983 to 1992, when her husband was governor of that state.

— She was elected to the U.S. Senate, representing the State of New York, from 2001 to 2009. She served two terms.

— She was first lady of the United States when her husband was president, 1993 to 2001. She played a leading role in advocating the creation of the state Children's Health Insurance Program, the Adoption and Safe Families Act and the Foster Care Independence Act.

— She was the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013.

— Mrs. Clinton became the first woman to be nominated for president of the United States in 2016. She was the first woman to win the popular vote in an American presidential election. She received three million more votes than Donald Trump.

— She is the current chancellor of Queen's University Belfast, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

— She was one of the co-founders of Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families.

— She was the first female chair of the Legal Services Corporation in 1978

— She became the first female partner at Little Rock's Rose Law Firm.

— In addition to serving on many national boards which advocated for children, she found time to write and publish five books.

I would say that based on the above-mentioned qualifications Mrs. Clinton would have made one hell of a president of these United States! I would further state that absolutely no comparison can logically be made when it comes to the qualifications of Mrs. Clinton and the current occupant of the People's House.
