To The Daily Sun,
Out-of-state libertarian extremists are trying to hijack your Belknap County election.
Don’t let it happen.
A Virginia-based political action committee named Make Liberty Win has been dumping big money into Belknap County to influence our election. So far, this has taken the form of “door hangers” backing some of the extreme libertarians removed from state and county government in 2022 like Reps. Glen Aldrich and Dawn Johnson, and several incumbent extremists as well. They are attacking more reasonable and responsible delegates, like Reps. Matt Coker, Mike Bordes, Steven Bogert, Russ Dumais and David Nagel.
We know the danger signs all too well. When outside people airdrop themselves into our affairs and start calling our good people Marxists, watch out.
Make Liberty Win’s Facebook page states: “Make Liberty Win seeks to seize control of state legislatures for Liberty.”
Well, that’s scary. What they mean is, their brand of extreme liberty. The brand we saw trying to tear down Gunstock, cripple the nursing home and underfund support for our most vulnerable. Their brand of “liberty” will bankrupt our schools and leave our roads full of potholes with no budget and no workers left to fix them.
To help you do your homework, the Citizens for Belknap Voter’s Guide has just been posted at CitizensforBelknap.org. It focuses on those candidates who have primary races. It will help you to sort through the Big Money Out-Of-State Libertarian Clap Trap and help keep county chaos from making a comeback in your backyard.
