To the editor,

Now more than ever, Do You Believe in Magic?

This was the theme for the 27th annual WLNH Children’s Auction.

Despite the most challenging times in our lives you where there again to answer the call, how can I help?

2009 was another historic event. The single year record was broken raising a phenomenal 251,746.00! The total amount collected over the 27 years now exceeds two million dollars.

I would like to say thank you to the local businesses, the backbone of our community who each year makes this monumental fundraiser a success. Without you, there would be no auction.

Thank you to the local volunteers who hear the call and pours your heart and soul into the children’s auction. Thank you to the local new faces that will be here to carry on the holiday tradition.

Thank you our local friends on site, both in front of and behind the mikes and cameras who spent tireless hours putting it all together. And thank you for inviting me back! I am honored to know you.

The outpouring from the penny drives to the largest fund raiser this year, Pub Mania shows just how special a community we live in. All of you have a special place in my heart.

Every year I’m brought to tears thinking of the very first child who was helped. I will never forget the look in her eyes. Because of your involvement, thousands more children’s eyes are lighting up, knowing their neighbors, friends and total strangers thought enough of them to care.

We are all so fortunate to be a part of this special place we call home.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas-Happy Holidays and Thank You.

It’s A Wonderful Life!
