To the editor,
It was with great sadness that I read that the Londonderry School Board opposes the right of parents to choose the education that is best for their children (HB754, The Education Certificate Act). It is also unfortunate that if their position wins the day and HB754 is defeated, only the wealthy will continue to have educational choice.
Perhaps, if Londonderry School Board Member, Anne Jacoby, could not afford the $17,000 per year it costs to send her child to a private school, she might be more supportive of others desiring to exercise the same choice she has.
School Choice is a civil right!
