To the editor,
My wife and I had the privilege to attend a retirement banquet last Friday at Steele HIll Resort in honor on Richard Robinson, the recently retired police chief in Sanbornton. Richard received well-deserved commendations from a wide variety of professional organizations and officials including the Governor of our state. Conspicuous in their absence were Sanbornton's town officials.
I'd like to think that this was an unfortunate omission or error and not an intentional snub towards a man who gave over twenty years of dedicated service to the town. Richard was a wonderful officer and later chief of police. I hope that I can express the sentiment of the community in thanking Chief Robinson for all his years of fine service. Most of our citizens truly appreciate and respect the individuals who literally put their lives on the line to protect and to serve all of us.
