To the editor:
Why do people have to be so cruel?
Do they get satisfaction out of hurting others? Do they think that being needy is bad? Does it make them feel good to see the destruction of other peoples’ property? How would they feel if someone trashed something they owned?
What is happening to this State of New Hampshire? One of the major reasons we moved here, after our retirement, was to become a part of a small community helping one another.
We were so saddened when we read that three of the New Hampshire Food Bank trucks were vandalized in Manchester to the extent that they could not deliver food to those in need. We are almost at a loss for words!
There are so many people in New Hampshire that are in need of help and the New Hampshire Food Bank is one of the major forces in getting help to those in need. Why would anyone target the New Hampshire Food Bank? It just boggles our minds!
The New Hampshire Food Bank is one of the main reasons we have co-chaired the Catholic Charities Campaign for the past 11 years at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Meredith. It makes us feel good that we can be of some help to our friends, our neighbors and our community. Without the New Hampshire Food Bank the local food pantries could not survive.
If you know anything about this please, we beg of you, contact the police. The vandals need to be caught.
