To The Daily Sun,
Chessy Prout was 15 when she had consensual sex with 18-year-old Owen Labrie. Afterward, she decided to accuse him of rape. He was acquitted of felony rape and found guilty of misdemeanor rape solely because of their ages. Simply put, Prout willingly had sex with a fellow student, regretted it, and decided to accuse him of rape in order to feel better. She has no right to write a book about her "victimhood."
Owen Labrie didn't force her to do anything. She willingly did what she did and now she is looking to cash in. Chessy Prout is writing a book about something that didn't even happen. Chessy Prout and Owen Labrie willingly participated in the same act with each other and now his name is ruined and hers is viewed as some sort of hero. She shouldn't be complaining about what she chose to do with Mr. Labrie too much because she sure is profiting from it.
