The fugitive from justice arrested in Laconia on Friday waived extradition in Laconia District Court yesterday and is awaiting return to North Carolina where he faces charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and drug possession. Sekou Conde, 19, was taken into custody shortly before 2 p.m. at 79 Morrill Street by police with support from the Belknap Regional Special Operations Group. Earlier in the day, police in New Bern, North Carolina had advised local police that they believed Conde reached the Laconia address, where he fled after allegedly entering a woman's home armed with a pistol, tying her up, assaulting and robbing her. Although described as armed and dangerous, Conde surrendered without incident.
