LACONIA — City Hall has been selected as the location for next Wednesday's public presentation to unveil the development plan for the former Laconia State School property.
The session will take place in the City Council chambers starting at 7 p.m.
The room has an occupancy limit of 60 people, according to Deputy Fire Chief Charles Roffo.
In a story published in Thursday’s Daily Sun, Mayor Andrew Hosmer said he hoped the presentation could take place at Laconia Middle School if possible in order to accommodate a larger turnout.
Following the presentation of the development plan now under consideration by the state, there will be an overview of Laconia’s expected review and approval process for the development given by Dean Trefethen, the city’s planning director. Trefethen has also been the city’s representative on the ad hoc committee that had reviewed the top four development proposals selected for the final round of consideration and came up with the final recommendation.
While the presentation will not be a public hearing, members of the public can submit written comments about the proposed development by emailing them to RPdas@das.nh.gov until Oct. 26.
