LACONIA — The Laconia School Board will hear an update on the progress of renovations to Laconia High School, funded mostly by federal ESSER funds, at its meeting Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 5:30 p.m. 

The project includes updates to the school's kitchen, HVAC system and bathrooms.

Moving up the start time of meetings, the process for evaluating the superintendent, and a handful of policy updates are also on the meeting's agenda. 

The filing window for two school board elections is now open. 

Representing Ward 5, board Vice Chair Nick Grenon has said he plans to put his name in for another term on the board. The seat representing Ward 4 will open up: Dawn Johnson, who has served on the board since 2017, has said she is not running for reelection and has no current plans to seek any other municipal office.
