Is it getting 'Too Hot for Santa'?

Heather Bullimore, 26, center, watches her friends during rehearsal for the musical "Too Hot for Santa" at the Belknap Mill Wednesday night. The musical is written by Bryan Halperin, producer for Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative, which is staging the production. "Too Hot for Santa" is about the North Pole melting due to climate change. Bullimore plays the main character, Hopey, an elf who brings attention to the climate change issue in the musical. Bullimore played Hopey in 2007 at 10 years old, and is now in the role again 16 years later. The musical is a free concert performance at the Belknap Mill at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. (Daniel Sarch/The Laconia Daily Sun photo)
