Good Shepherd to distribute 18,000 meals in Laconia

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Laconia brought the first of two orders of emergency meals to the church for distribution on May 20. Wearing yellow shirts that proclaim “God’s Work; Our Hands,” a volunteer group following Centers for Disease Control & Prevention COVID-19 safety guidelines off-loaded the delivery. Brian Sanford of Center Harbor, president of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Council, led the group in hauling 45 boxes of oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, rice and beans, and pasta. Distribution plans are being developed. The delivery will provide over 18,000 servings of food. For more details about Good Shepherd, visit goodshepherdnh.org. (Courtesy photo)
