GILFORD — In response to a high rate of recent thefts of such devices at Gilford High School, the Gilford Police Department has announced the creation of a registry for iPods and mp3 music players.
Beginning immediately, students at the high school may register their music device with School Resource Officer Kelly Stiegler. The registry will work similarly to a bicycle registry, where students will fill out a form describing a description and serial number for their property. The program is meant to expedite investigations and prevent future thefts.
Parents who have questions about the registry are urged to contact Stiegler at 524-7146 extension 250.
