The Dockside Restaurant on Alton Bay, opened under new management in February, has become the newest member of the Favorite Independent Restaurant Association. Owner Dan Chiavacci has been in the restaurant business his entire life, and has always wanted to open his own restaurant. He is fulfilling his dreams in the area he vacationed in as a child.
The Dockside is a full-service family style restaurant featuring steak, seafood, and a variety of sandwiches including the haddock. Chef Peter Bratt is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. With spectacular views of Alton Bay, the restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch and Thursday through Saturday for dinner. In season they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
The Favorite Independent Restaurant Association (FIRA) is a non profit organization dedicated to helping independently owned restaurants compete and succeed in a marketplace increasingly dominated by national chains. There are currently more 50 FIRA member restaurants in New Hampshire and southern Maine. F
