Co-curricular sports for all

Gov. Chris Sununu signed HB 1624-FN-A, an act relative to students with disabilities participating in co-curricular activities and making an appropriation thereof, Friday morning in the football stadium behind Laconia High School. Athletes and members of the New Hampshire Special Olympics, as well as Belknap County Reps. Dawn Johnson, Timothy Lang and Mike Bordes, were in attendance. The bill allows the New Hampshire Department of Education to expend up to $50,000 "for the primary purpose of funding first year operational expenses of equipment and/or uniforms only for unified co-curricular activities."
