Who stars in The White Lotus Season 4?

HBO has finally confirmed The White Lotus Season 4 cast with Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz billed as the ensemble. Additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer, and Laura Smet.

Helena Bonham Carter was originally attached to star in the fourth season, but Deadline reports that her role is being revamped and recast. “With filming just underway on Season 4 of The White Lotus, it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set,” an HBO spokesperson said in a statement to the outlet. “The role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten, and will be recast in the coming weeks. HBO, the producers, and Mike White are saddened that they won’t get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon.”

It has since been announced by Deadline that Laura Dern will join Season 4’s ensemble in a role that’s being written specifically for her. In other words, Bonham Carter’s character will no longer be a part of the story, allowing for Dern to tackle something tailored to her strengths. This isn’t Dern’s first appearance on The White Lotus , though, as her voice popped up in Season 2 as Abby DiGrasso.
