A new platform means new rules for Pop Culture Jeopardy!. Season 2 of the game show premiered on May 11 and gives the winner an opportunity to win more games and money.

Instead of the teams winning one game and then advancing to the quarterfinals, they can now win up to five games. “Things are going to be slightly different this time. Here’s how it works,” host Colin Jost said.

“The winners of each game will advance to play in the next episode, where they cap at five games maximum. After 15 games, the top nine teams will compete in the semifinals for a chance to win $300,000 and be named the next Pop Culture Jeopardy! champion.”

The recently introduced version of the syndicated game show focuses solely on — you guessed it  — pop culture questions, ranging from TV to sports to music and more.

Jeopardy! has produced many spinoffs, including Tournament of Champions, Masters, Invitational Tournament, Celebrity Jeopardy!, College Tournaments, and more. But they all focus on everyday trivia. Pop Culture Jeopardy! is solely for the fangirls and boys.

The Personality Hires (Emily Hogg, Zach Gozlan, and Miranda Onnen) won Season 1 in March and took home the grand prize and the PC Jeopardy! trophy.

Here’s what you should know about Pop Culture Jeopardy! Season 2.

Netflix

When does Pop Culture Jeopardy! Season 2 air?

Season 2 began on May 11. New episodes will premiere every weekday through June 5. There will be 20 episodes that are 25 minutes in length. They will drop at 3am EST/12am PST.

Will it be back on Amazon Prime Video?

No. Pop Culture Jeopardy! has moved from Amazon Prime Video to Netflix.

Sources told Variety that Amazon Prime Video agreed to shop Pop Culture Jeopardy! to other distributors when they changed their strategy on game shows.

What else is new for Season 2?

Along with moving from Amazon Prime Video to Netflix, the second season of the game show has reduced the size of its teams from three to two people, and will now air every day for four weeks instead of weekly for a longer span of time. However, Pop Culture Jeopardy! will still be played on the Alex Trebek stage and focus on pop culture questions.

What are some of the categories this season?

In the trailer released on April 27, some of the categories included “Doing The Voice,” “Broadway On The Big Screen,” “Pop Culture Crossword Puzzles,” “TV of the 2010s,” “2 Songs In One,” “AI Slop Gave Me Brain Rot,” “Real Housewives Wit & Wisdom,” and “Sounds Like 6-7.”

“An entire category devoted to 6-7,” Jost said. Two of the contestants then proceeded to do the up and down hand movements with the saying. “6-7” is a Gen Alpha term that gained popularity in 2025. The meaning of it is not truly known and is meant to be nonsensical.
