LACONIA — Monkey Trunks Adventure Park's season will start on May 2 and the owners are pleased to announce that they have built a new Zip-Trekking course at the Saco, Maine and Weirs Beach, N.H. locations. "We are always looking for new features to add to our parks," stated Kris Gagnon, General Manager of Monkey Trunks. "Two years ago we added the children's course and now the Zip-Trekking courses in Weirs Beach and Saco."

The Zip-Trekking courses are built as a hybrid between a zipline tour and an aerial trekking course. Participants can trek through the trees on the new self-navigated Zip-Trek courses consisting of a variety of ziplines and rope-course challenges within the trees. Unlike the standard guided zipline tour, the Zip-Trek course allows participants to trek through the trees at their own pace. Participants will be ziplining and navigating elements of varying difficulties.

Monkey Trunks locations offer challenges that include swinging beams, tightropes, rolling logs, hanging tires, and cargo nets. The Weirs Beach location alone has 4 ziplines, including one over a pond, as well as a 35-foot-high giant swing and is open to swing at night under the lights. Reservations are encouraged and can be made anytime online at their website, www.monkeytrunks.com.
