Born in Lyndonville, Vermont, Bill was one of seven children. He proudly served his country as a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Marine Corps. A skilled carpenter by trade, he took pride in working with his hands and creating things built to last. An avid hunter and fisherman, Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors and appreciated life's simple pleasures, including gardening and cooking for family and neighbors.

Above all, Bill loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was enriched by the people he loved.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra Shene; his daughter Laura Hicks and her husband Danton Hicks, grandson Justin Williams and great-granddaughter Olivia Williams; his daughter Marcy Johnson and grandchildren Keenan Johnson, Brendon Johnson and E-Lorraine Johnson; his son Robert Dunn and his fiancée Judy and grandchildren Nicholas Scerra and Natasha Scerra, along with great-grandchildren Colin, Oliver, and Terran; his son James Dunn and grandchildren Brianna Dunn, Jameson Dunn and Jackson Dunn; and his daughter Melissa Konikowski and her husband Chris Konikowski, and granddaughter Jewel Simmons. He is also survived by his siblings, Roxanne McCullough and Irving Mussen.

Bill was cremated, and his remains were interred with military honors at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, at 9 a.m. on Oct. 19.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Elks National Foundation or the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Bill's memory.

Bill will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
