BELMONT — William F. Day, 54, of 63 Foxhill Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Saturday, June 16, 2007. Mr. Day was the widower of Lucille T. (Labonte) Day who died in 1998.

Mr. Day was born January 9, 1953 in Manchester, New Hampshire, the son of Charles and Rose (Engberg) Day. He lived most of his life in the Lakes Region and was owner of William F. Day Insurance in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. While in college, Mr. Day was a member of the ROTC Program. He was a member of the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #1 in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Mr. Day was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish, Belmont, New Hampshire.

Survivors include three sons, Peter T. Day of Gilmanton, New Hampshire, Michael J. Day and his wife, Jessica, of Gilmanton, New Hampshire and Stephen S. Day, of Ventura, California; a brother, Charles “Skip” Day, of Manchester, New Hampshire; a sister, Roseanne Helwig, of Manchester, New Hampshire; his companion, Kay Black, of Gilmanton, New Hampshire and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM using the Whipple Avenue entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, New Hampshire on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 10:00 AM

Burial will follow in the family lot in Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, New Hampshire 03247.
