NORTHFIELD — Vivian F. Clark, 85, a longtime resident of Northfield, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Franklin Regional Hospital following a short period of failing health. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.
Vivian was born in Franklin Dec. 25, 1931, daughter of Ralph Cullen, Sr and Rose A. (Carignan) Cullen. She lived in Franklin for 16 years and later lived on the family Farm in Tilton before moving to Northfield where she remained until her death. Vivian was a homemaker, and was known by her family and friends as the greatest babysitter, usually having nothing less than a happy housefull. She loved her family more than anything. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild were her world. She was a longtime active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post #49 of Northfield.
Vivian was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Raymond E. Cullen and Roland T. Cullen.
Her family includes five children, Robert R. Cullen of Northfield, Gloria J. Puffinburger and her husband Ed of Franklin, Ricky L. Clark of Sanbornton, Patricia A. Clark of Laconia, Debbie Tsoronis and her husband Lee of Hampton; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; brothers Ralph L. Cullen and his wife Reta of Northfield, Richard A. Cullen and his wife Nancy of Northfield, and Roland's widow, Beverly Cullen of Northfield; and numerous generational nieces and nephews.
Following Vivian's wishes, there are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Park Cemetery in Tilton.
Assisting with arrangements is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton.
