LACONIA —Shirley C. Faulkner, 81, of 25 Union Avenue, died on Sunday, November 13, 2005 at the Genesis Eldercare, Laconia Center. Shirley was born June 27, 1924 in Holderness, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Goodwin) Currier. She was a life long resident of the Lakes Region and was formerly employed at the Laconia State School and Training Center.
Shirley was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include two brothers, Bertram Currier of Holderness and Jackie Currier of Bristol; four sisters, Charlotte Mulligan of Laconia, Beryl Smith of Holderness, Joan MacDonald of Plymouth and Sandra Hawkensen of Hill; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles L. Currier and Richard Currier.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the family lot at the Trinity Cemetery, Rte 175, Holderness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Rte 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032 or the Arthritis Foundation, Northern New
England Chapter Office, 257 South Union Street, Burlington, Vermont 05401.
