New Hampton — Scott Alan Batchelder, 59, passed away unexpectedly March 18, 2024.
He was born Sept. 10, 1964, in Laconia, a son of Norman Batchelder Sr. and Marilyn (Grey) Batchelder.
Scott worked for the family paving business. He liked riding motorcycles, walking in the woods, hunting, fishing, playing poker and especially enjoyed campfires with his family and the grandkids. He will be greatly missed.
He is predeceased by his father and mother, his brother Norman Jr. and his sister Linda.
He is survived by his sons Scott Jr. and his wife Amber, and Rodney; his daughters Meghan and Jade; grandchildren Kamryn and fiancé Avery, Shayleigh, Akaila, Serenity, Addalynn, Scotty III, Trinity, Khloey and Brailey, and great-grandchildren Akai and Zaiden; his brothers Harry, Chris and Eddy, and sisters Holly, Sandra, Linda and Barbra; as well as his ex-wife Diana.
A funeral service will be held on April 6, at New Hampton Community Church, across from The New Hampton School in New Hampton. Services start at 3 p.m. upstairs, followed by a gathering downstairs. Food and flowers are welcome.
