Scout Troop 68 in Laconia recently recognized scout Jake Twombly of Tilton for earning the rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's highest award. Twombly started his scouting journey in 2013. Along the way he earned the highest rank available to cub scouts, the Arrow of Light, earned 29 merit badges and devoted many hours to his Eagle Project, which involved making significant improvements to Sanbornton Town Park. Twombly is a 2025 graduate of Winnisquam High School. He will continue his commitment to service in the U.S. Army. Twombly is pictured with his parents Jim and Judy Twombly. (Courtesy photo)
