GILFORD — Ruth M. McBride, 88, died at her home on Friday, October 20, 2006.
Mrs. McBride was born on May 7, 1918 in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of Andrew and Jennie Hunter.
Mrs. McBride lived in Lowell, Mass., for many years before moving to Gilford 20 years ago. While residing in Lowell, she was employed by the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, graduate school and chemistry department. She was a loving mother, wife and nana.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew H. and Paula (Bertrand) McBride of Gilford; a daughter and son-in-law, June L. and Francis Keefe of Lowell Mass.; two grandsons, Francis A. Keefe of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Logan A. McBride of Gilford; three great grandchildren; Erik, Shaun, and Alycia Keefe all of Tyngsboro, Mass.; a brother, Lewis Hunter of Florida and several nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Claude A McBride in 2003.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health and Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
