LACONIA — Rosalie Dicey, 84, passed away on June 7, 2026, at the Belknap County Nursing Home.
Rosalie was born on Aug. 31, 1941, in Grafton, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Bessie (née Morse) Sturtevant.
Rosalie was the happiest when with her family. She was a talented musician. She enjoyed playing her guitar and singing for family and friends. In the early to mid-1970s she was in the band “The Country Stompers” entertaining around New England. She would play music for the whole neighborhood on Saturdays while residing in Franklin. To this day, many still comment about those “concerts” and how they were enjoyed. She loved loud music. Rosalie was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and “decorating.” She was quick-witted, spunky, and had a great sense of humor. She journaled and wrote songs. Rosalie was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother but did some part-time work in her later years. She was most proud of being a “salad girl” at the Homestead Restaurant in Bristol in the 1980s.
She is survived by her son Sam Dicey; daughters Beverly LaPage (Jody), Jayne Davis (John), and Rebecca Leonard (Ben); grandchildren Jessica Emerson, David Holmberg, Eric Holmberg, Amanda Bumford, Scott Bumford, Emily Bumford, Sabrina Bull, Jessica Benwell, Ruby Hendrix and Lillian Ezzelle; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rosalie was predeceased by her husband Clyde (Sam) Dicey in 1998; her daughter Sheila on April 24, 2026; brothers Freddie, Rollie, Wilbur, Frank and James; and her sister Rowena.
