NORTHFIELD — Roger W. LaBraney, 76, of Northfield died Nov. 28, 2022, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Franklin on Jan. 13, 1946, he was the son of Lester and Emelia (Chandonnait) LaBraney. Roger worked for Webster Valve and then Wyman and Gordon as a welder until he retired. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed gardening and working on his land. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Roger is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharyn LaBraney; his stepson, Scott Smith; one grandson, Scott A. Smith of Conway; and two granddaughters, Kayla Smith of Minnesota and Kyana Brown of Massachusetts; his brother, Lester; and a sister, Shirley; and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was predeceased by his sister, Doris Cate; and brothers, Roland and Ronald LaBraney.
There will be a graveside service at Park Cemetery in Tilton at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA and Hospice, 75 Chestnut St., Franklin, NH 03235.
