Roger Edward Lawrence, 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, at Sterling Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center with his loving family by his side.
Roger loved his family and had a passion for many things in life including his love for God, giving to others and fishing.
Roger was born on July 18, 1940, in Meredith, the son of the late Ernest and Helen Lawrence of Gilford, New Hampshire. He graduated from Laconia High School in the Class of 1958, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the military police in Alaska. He met his wife while stationed at Dyess Air Force base in Abilene, Texas. Upon finishing his military career, he worked for AT&T for 35 years.
He was proud of being a member of AA having reached over 40 years of sobriety and being a sponsor to many.Â
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Lawrence, granddaughter Cody Renee, grandson A.J Frizzell and brother-in-law Leon Cram.
He is survived by his daughters Rhonda (Randy) Frizzell of Texas and Missy (Tom) Hancock of Georgia; his grandchildren Casey Frizzell, Chase Hancock, Molly and Jordan Kim; great-grandson Wesley Frizzell; his brother, Brad (Roxanne) Lawrence; and sisters Laurel (David) Greenlaw, Sharon Cram and Wanda (Carl) Carder.
