NEW HAMPTON — Mildred E. Lewis, 92, formerly of 782 Straits Road, died at the Forestview Manor, Meredith

on Wednesday, August 3, 2005. She was the widow of Clyde E. Lewis who died in 1992.

Mrs. Lewis was born April 10, 1913 in Stratford, Conn., the daughter of Frederick H. and Susan (Evitts) Wheeler. She lived in Connecticut for several years before moving to Brattleboro, Vermont. In 1956, she moved to New Hampton.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of the First Congregational Church, Meredith.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde E. Lewis Jr of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and Donald E. Lewis of Meredith; a daughter, Marcia W. Nadeau of New Hampton; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Congregational Church, Meredith at a later date. Rev. Russell Roland, pastor of the Church will officiate.

A Private Burial will be held at the Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
