Mary Bridget (Graves) Boden, 58, died Jan. 30, 2024, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
She was born on March 18, 1965, in Woburn, Massachusetts, the daughter of Thomas Graves and Carol (Perry) Graves.
Mary was an outstanding hairstylist for many years and continued to provide styling for many family members and friends. She was always providing styling services to people in need and loved helping others feel special and respected. She enjoyed camping and many outside activities. She was always talking about going “up country” and meeting all her friends in her camping circle. She was a huge animal lover and advocate. This is evident in the many animals Mary fostered. From chinchillas, turtles, cats and her beloved dog, Shelby, Mary was always there to help and rescue animals in need.
She was a member of the Wicked Witches of the Lakes Region and loved dancing and entertaining the people of the area. “Talking to Mary Boden of the Wicked Witches of the Lakes Region and hearing her story and what they did for our Lakes Region location made me smile and appreciate the wonderful community we are in even more," said a director of the local Boys & Girls Club.
Mary is survived by her son, Nicholas Graves; grandchildren Cameron, Cole and Kyria; brother Tom Graves (Sharon); sister Bernadette Fullam (James); nephews and nieces Tyler, Brady, Hannah, Ashley, Hunter, Brandon; and other loving family members.
Even in death Mary continued to give to others by being an organ donor. She would be honored by all who join her in organ donorship and providing the gift of life.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The family will have a celebration of life for Mary in the spring.
Those who wish may make a memorial contribution in Mary's name to the Lakes Region Humane Society, 11 Old Route 28, Ossipee, NH 03864.
