GILMANTON — Marlene "Boo" Faucher, 78, of Middle Route, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2026.

Marlene was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Louis Gunther and Bernice (Gensberg) Gunther.

Marlene was a part of the Lakes Region community for more than 45 years. She worked as a special education teacher for the Laconia School District and in customer service for J. Jill. She was a Peace Corps volunteer in Micronesia, in the 1970s, and was a world traveler. She was a true citizen of the world. She traveled to over 40 different countries including exotic destinations such as the Seychelles. Throughout her career and travels she impacted many lives for the better. She made friends everywhere she went. Marlene enjoyed reading, specifically mystery and historical period novels. She loved live theater and passed that love on to her daughter and granddaughters.

Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lee Faucher; daughter Arianna Ellison and her husband Charles Ellison of Ashland, Massachusetts; son Kyle Faucher and his wife Christina of Blackstone, Massachusetts; and her four grandchildren, Taliyah, Nyah, Lincoln and Nolan.
