LACONIA — Mark Edward Morin passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 68, in his home in Laconia.

Mark was born in Laconia, and raised in Berlin. He served six years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era as a trainer in prison camp survival. Following his service, he got his business degree and worked in furniture retail, managing Harris Family Furniture for 40 years.

Mark loved riding his Harley with his “motley crew of rebels,” blasting classic rock, and telling tall tales at the kitchen table. He had a deep appreciation for novels, documentaries and a good iced coffee. He wrote in his journal nearly every day. He was happiest when he was sitting reclined in his chair, surrounded by his family.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Bonnie; his adoring children Abbie and Jocelyn (Ryan); his brother Dennis and sister Sandy Larochelle (Paul); his siblings-in-law Roger Price (Katrina) and Stacy Reel (Harvey); many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, countless friends, and lastly, his dog Myrtle, who was there with him in his final moments.

His celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., followed by a reception from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Lakeport Opera House, 781 Union Ave.

For those wishing, the family suggests donations may be made in his memory to the New Hampshire Humane Society, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247-0572.
